Yin Yoga: classes

Relaxation and mobility through Yin Yoga! Through this most relaxed of UniSport yoga classes, body flexibility is increased through long stretches and the mind is given time to relax.

Yin Yoga class consists of very tranquil movements performed mainly on the floor and without the use of muscle strength. The class involves long stretches which seek to develop the body’s elasticity. Particular attention is given to removing tension in the hip area. Yin Yoga is a relaxing and potent stress remover. The class may involve meditative exercises.

Who is it for?

Yin Yoga it is suitable for both beginners and those with previous experience. Where needed, the classes make use of exercise equipment to support and facilitate the movements.

How can I participate?

You can participate in Yin Yoga through the weekly group exercise classes.

If possible, you should bring your own yoga mat with you. A yoga mat allows you to exercise safely and efficiently, and is also hygienically a more pleasant option. If you like, you may also use an exercise mat available on-site.

In addition to the mat, you will need stretchy and warm clothes. We will be exercising without shoes. You can bring a drinking bottle if desired.

The exercise equipment used for yin Yoga are available during the class in the UniSport group exercise areas.
