University community's own sports centre – UniSport in a nutshell
UniSport is a sports service provider owned by the University of Helsinki, Aalto University, Hanken and Taideylipisto. We promote wellbeing by creating a positive atmosphere for physical activity and by enabling people to exercise. UniSport, formerly known as University Sports, was founded in 1967.
Responsibility is an important value for us. We are bold in our commitment to equality, multiculturalism and body positivity. Everyone is valuable just as they are, without pressure to look or change. We support people's well-being and encourage a physical lifestyle so that everyone has the energy to live a life that looks like themselves.

Strong roots in moving the university community
UniSport (formerly University Sports) has been moving university students, staff and citizens since 1967. A lot has changed since those early years - and is still changing - with the expansion to several locations and the constant addition of new sports and services. We have a history of video exercising, community walks in the city centre, dance performances on Alexander Street and judo on the famous Doma. Queuing for classes and paper booking lists are a thing of the past.
Times and places change, but the starting point is still to keep university community on the move!
