University sports clubs courses and other activities

For good company and love of the game! Club activities are part of the wide assortment we offer. UniSports facilities host many active clubs ranging from the martial arts to ball sports. Activities include beginners' courses as well as competitive play.

The autumn season also starts at University Sprts Clubs with beginner courses. You can get involved in the activities of the clubs by contacting the club of interest directly.

University of Helsinki Shorinji Kempo, HYSK ry

University of Helsinki Taekwon-do Club

ITF Taekwon-Do Autumn beginner course starts on September 20

Have you always wanted to learn flashy kicks, punches and blocks? Do you want to improve your balance, flexibility and mobility of body? Are you in need of self-defense skills?

University of Helsinki Taekwon-do Club provides a beginners’ course for both University of Helsinki and Aalto University students and personnel as well as for students of University of the Arts and Hanken. The beginners’ course of Autumn 2020 starts on September 20, 2020. Training sessions will be given in Porthania gym on Sundays at 11:30-13:00. The course costs 50,00 €, which includes training, membership and belt exam fees. ITF Federation license fee is paid separately. Throughout September and until the middle of October you can attend any of the trainings for free. The club follows the latest guidelines of the Olympic Committee.
