Take on UniSport’s wellbeing challenge

UniSport’s wellbeing challenge encourages you to challenge yourself, at least a little bit. You do not have to change your whole life at once. Do just as much as you want or have time for.

As we all know, New Year's resolutions are difficult to keep, but you can aim to get into better condition by taking on a challenge instead. UniSport’s wellbeing challenge is encouraging everybody to take care of their own wellbeing.

The challenge aims at making wellbeing a more visible part of our everyday life. Write down your own challenge, it can be anything from taking more steps per day to playing less with your phone. Challenge a friend too, that makes it more fun. You can find posters where you can write down your challenge at UniSport’s sports centers, or write it down for yourself. If you want to participate in our lottery where you can win a massage gift certificate, you only need to take a picture of your challenge, post it on Instagram, tag a friend and use the hashtags #hyvinvointihaaste2018 and #unisportfi. ‘

You can start to take care or you wellbeing by for example taking exercise breaks during the study- or workday. You can use UniSport’s exercise videos (here or here) or come to one of our Care Free shoulders classes.

 If you can’t come up with a challenge you can choose one of the examples below

  • I ask a friend to work out with me
  • I choose the stairs instead of the elevator
  • I walk in the forest every week
  • I eat breakfast also during weekdays
  • I reduce my screen time
  • I try to sleep 8 hours per night
  • I will start a new hobby
  • I will try a new sport in January
  • I take daily exercise breaks
